Birthday present

Right, I'll never know how to starts blogs I'm sorry :/
But that's not the point I wanna come up right now. Somehow I thought about birthdays (maybe cause phichen had her birthday and I'm about to gift-wrap... ) and started thinking about mine. I don't know if I'll be in Germany or in the United States or on my way in the airplane and that makes me kinda sad.
I know I'll won't see most of my friends before coming back and they want to do something special for me even though they live far away and have no money to travel [which is sad as well] and obviously I'm contented to realize this, but I started searching for a solution.

Basically I thought about my last birthday with my lovely girls and the letter I wrote when I was 10 and set myself the goal not to open it til I turned 16 which I did( I secretively opened it after all the girl have been fallen asleep). I still think that's a good idea although it hadn't the wow-I-really-grew-up-effect it should have had I'm cool with it and at this point an idea came up:

I still have doubts because of the hole exchange thing and maybe it'll help if I had some of this letters. Just to know I've people supporting me...

So the idea is that I want all the people who want to give me a present to write two letters: one I'll read before I'm in the United States(to dawdle away :P just kidding ;]) and one that I'll read on my way "back home".

In my mind that's no difficult task to undertake, no costly enterprise and it would mean a lot to me....
The people who can't come and congratulate me just need to send this two letters by post and the others can give me them personally.

A letter don't take that much time (I know lots of you have millions of exams...) and you're able to put all of your heart and soul into this letter without saying anything face to face (I know there are lots of shy people among yourselves) and it still is a good idea.
I don't trust the american internet, mail contact or the american post so it'd be nice to get them both before I'll fly and with a note which one's the before or/and the afterwards letter...
